A world without God? What would it be like...

another thread got me to thinking..something i do once in a while .

what if no one believed in a god .

what do you think the world would be like?.

We already have a world without god. Seems to me, even if you believe in the Bible, he's been MIA for about 2000 years.

What would the world be like if everyone did not believe in god? Unfortunately, humans would still probably be fighting over land and other resources. They just wouldn't be able to use religion to get people all riled up. Contrary to religious people's opinion, atheism is not a moral viewpoint. The fact that a person believes in god or not does not make him/her a more or less moral person ON THAT BASIS. The fact that I care for others and consider myself a moral person does not stem from my atheism, but rather from the moral values that I believe in.

BTW, Tammy, would you still be a good person if at some point you hypothetically learned something that would make you realize that Jesus is as much a fairytale as Zeus and Hermes? Would you at once become a homicidal maniac just because you're no longer a Christian? I don't think so. That's why I don't think that you're a good person solely because you believe in Christ.

Creationist Theme Park: "Ark Encounter"

kentucky governor unveils plans for creationist theme park complete with full-sized ark.

.. a joint project between beshear and answers in genesis -- a christian organization that also built a similar attraction, the creation museum -- the park will reportedly cost at least $150 million and create 900 jobs, according to the news release.. beshear's spokesperson kerri richardson declined to comment beyond what was in her office's news release on the project.. the amusement park, named ark encounter, will include all the modern recreation amenities, including: a full-sized wooden ark, a "walled city much like was found in ancient times, a replica of the tower of babel with exhibits, a first-century middle eastern village" and even outdoor parking.

Tammy, you are confusing Young Earth Creationism with Flood dating.

Since Gen 1:1 says that in the beginning God created , etc., so the beginning may have been zillions of years ago, its not specific.

OTOH, the Bible is very specific as to the dating of the flood. So if you believe the Bible literally talks about a literal flood, you must accept the Bible's dating of it a little over 4000 years ago. And then your argument that evolution occurs in such a short time frame seems extremely ridiculous. Yes, laughable.

Tammy, do you know how many millions of years it would take for those 400,000 beetles to evolve? Much longer than 4,000 years (according to the Bible's dating of the flood)

Must also have a stoning ceremony too where some mannequin-whore gets crushed by audience members throwing rocks.
